What Inspired the NoBox Tape Light?

We design products that encourage people to do things they love, when using them. We’re also inspired by creativity and thinking outside the box— this light is something we wanted to use, like all our other products.

Meet the designer

This light was designed by our founder’s brother, John Workman. His original idea was written on a napkin and the final result is not too far off what he envisioned!

Why this light encourages us to Live Outside The Box

20 years ago, there was no such thing as a smart phones. Technology is wonderful, don’t get us wrong. We value and are inspired by things old and new.

This light is pretty simple and we kind of like that about it. It can’t charge a phone— we want you to unplug. Its multi functional— it can be used for endless purposes. Its fun— we see peoples face light up when they see this light for the first time.
